In my defence I had two assignments due in last week and now I have exams to revise for. Saying that, I'm not gonna stop blogging completely during exam period but I just won't post as often.
Anyway, on to the good stuff! I've recently (well not recently, but hey!) purchased two red lipsticks one matte and the other... shiny? Glossy? I don't know what it's called but it's not matte :)
I went out looking for a red matte lipstick which was why I bought the Sleek one first, and then got the MUA (Makeup Academy) one after. The Sleek one is really matte! I didn't realise it was going to that matte. If you're thinking of purchasing it, I highly recommend moisturising your lips thoroughly before applying it so that it glides on and doesn't tug.
Sleek True Colour lipstick - Stiletto £3.99
MUA - Shade 1 £1
The lipstick from MUA was a lot cheaper and to be honest, I liked it a lot more. Even though it isn't matte, it's not too shiny and it glides on when I apply it. It is a bit darker than the Sleek one as you can see in these swatches...
MUA on the left and Sleek on the right (excuse my dirty watch lol)
...but I still love it!
I've heard a lot about Ruby Woo by MAC so that's a product I would really like to try out. I might purchase it as a present to myself after exams :)
What's your favourite red lipstick? Or any lipstick for that matter!
xo
the MUA lipstick looks like the better shade and for £1? bargain!
ReplyDeletei'm not usually a lipstick kind of girl, but if MUA have other shades at that price i will hit them up!

ReplyDeleteAll the best for your exams! :)

Apparently MAC's Ruby Woo is divine. You should try it out. But my fav is Revlon Colourburst in Fuschia. Absolutely divine and moisturizes your lips :-)
