OOTD | Festival
Continuing on from my previous post, this is what I wore on the day. I made sure I had sensible shoes on, I saw a lot of people wearing converses, vans and I even saw a couple Uggs! They were just the wrong things to wear and I'm sure they got seriously messed up at the end of the night lol
Radio 1's Hackney Weekend - Sunday 24th June 2012
Hi guys!
I'm sure a lot of you know about the festival that took place over the weekend at Hackney Marshes. For those who don't it was Radio 1's Hackney Weekend, a free festival which saw many artists perform over the 2 days. I live literally 10 minutes away from the venue so when I heard about it there was no doubt in my mind that I was gonna go. I've lived in Hackney my whole life and we've never had anything like this, so it was definitely something special.
There were so many amazing artists, some on at the same time so I wasn't able to see everyone but I did see a lot, including:
Tim Westwood
Plan B
Jessie J
Florence + The Machine
Dizzee Rascal (the special guest)
Labrinth
Azealia Banks
Taio Cruz
Rihanna
My favourite performances were Labrinth - who was incredible, he ripped up the stage; Jessie J - who, of course has always been and will always be my baby; Dizzee Rascal - I wasn't expecting him so it was a pleasant surprise, especially when he started playing his old songs; Tim Westwood - an amazing DJ who was playing some bangers; and of course RIHANNA! After seeing her perform I love her even more, she even brought Jay Z on stage :P
Okay, I'm gonna stop talking now and show you the pictures.... :)
It was definitely an experience that I will never forget!

New In: Fuchsia Wedges
Hello, hello!
So recently I bought my first ever pair of wedges. I found that they are a lot more comfortable than high heeled shoes. I think that people who find it hard to wear heeled shoes should definitely try wedges, they're so much easier to walk in and still look nice!
I wasn't actually looking for wedges, but I was doing a bit of online surfing and I saw that Office were having a sale. So I got these babies for £20 down from £75. Bargain? I think so! ^_^

I'M FREEEEEEEEEEEEE....
...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! :D
I had my last exam on friday and now I'm back home to enjoy summer! Yaaaay! =D Well, I've actually been home since friday but I've spent the last two days enjoying my freedom. I feel so liberated!
Now that I have a lot more time on my hands I'm gonna try and do more posts, respond to comments and check out other blogs. Also, recently I bought a new camera which means I'll be posting even better quality pictures :)
For everyone who has finished their exams I hope you're enjoying your summer and those who aren't, don't worry you're almost finished. I wish you all the best xo

Afro Hair & Beauty Live 2012
Hello lovelies!
So today was a productive day (which unfortunately did not consist of any revision...) My sister and I went to an event called Afro Hair & Beauty Live at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London which celebrates ethnic hair and beauty. It takes place every year during the bank holiday weekend and this year it was on the same day as The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Tickets cost £10 but trust me, you get your moneys worth in FREEBIES! I also bought some shea butter which is good for skin and hair.
This was my first year going and I was really excited. There were so many different ethnicities and hair types, stands and exibitions. There was a main stage where there were numerous fashion shows, competitions, performances and so on.
Just to warn you, I took a lot of pictures... Enjoy!
Some of you may know the YouTuber BeautyByJJ, she was there but I couldn't get a picture of her. She's really pretty in person as well as on screen :)
Going to this event has actually made me consider going back to natural hair. When I was younger and had natural hair we didn't have/know about the products and tools there are now. So I know if I were to go natural I'd be able to maintain it, because my hair was TOUGH!
