IVORY

Blazer - Topshop // Top - Primark // Leather trousers - H&M // Shoes - Dorothy Perkins // Clutch - ASOS
When I ordered this blazer online I actually thought it was white (even though the description clearly said ivory...) so was a little disappointed when it arrived. However, when I put this outfit together I was no longer disappointed and became excited at the endless possible outfits this blazer can achieve. In this look I decided to pair it with a simple grey top, my leather trousers and a pair of court heels. I chose to go with gold accessories in the form of my Casio watch and clutch bag with gold studs on (a Christmas pressie from my sister). I'm also wearing my new favourite eyelashes, they're the Cheryl Cole style from the Girls Aloud designs by Eylure. I love how natural they look, and the fact that they are subtle enough for the day with the right amount of volume for the night xo

L!VE: Disclosure

On Thursday (28th) my friend and I went to o2 Academy Brixton to watch Disclosure live in concert. For those of you who aren't familiar with them, Disclosure are an English electronic music duo consisting of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence. They have so many amazing songs such as Latch (ft. Sam Smith), You & Me (ft. Eliza Doolittle), White Noise (ft. AlunaGeorge) and F For You. A lot of their songs include the vocals of others artists, a few who made appearances on the night; Sam Smith (who I'm really loving at the moment), Eliza Doolittle and Sasha Keable.
We had two DJs keep us entertained before the boys came on which really helped the crowd get going. I felt like I was in a rave with all the strobe lights and the smell of alcohol lol. I had such a great time it was truly an amazing night. Seems like I've turned into a proper concert goer haha xo

*Apologies for the quality of the pictures, they were taken on my phone!

Emerald Green Ring

I vowed not to let a month go untouched so here's a post showing a ring I've been sporting a lot lately. I bought it for £2.99 from Oxfam. I'm currently volunteering there and I'm loving all the different types of vintage accessories and clothes they have there. I think this may be the start of a new love for thrifting ;)
As I've mentioned a gazillion times already green is my favourite colour so when I saw this I immediately fell in love. It reminded me of a ring I saw on the Regal Rose website which I really wanted but didn't buy because of the price, so I'm really happy to have an equally beautiful dupe.

I miss blogging but my uni work is slowing consuming my life... good times(!) I hope you have all been well xo

20 Random Facts About Me!

Hi guys!

I was recently tagged by Akilah to do the 20 Random Facts About Me tag. I haven't done one in a while so I was excited to do this one. I should warn you that I'm kind of extremely weird...

  1. Green is my favourite colour.
  2. I'm probably way ahead of myself but I've already picked out my baby names...
  3. Speaking of children I want to have 5, but we'll see how I feel after 1 lol
  4. I know the whole choreography to Michael Jackson's Thriller. I can even do it without the video, all I need is the music and I'm game!
  5. I've recently developed a love for electronic and house/chilled house music.
  6. Rudimental's album Home is my album of the year. It's absolutely amazing, have a listen to it if you haven't already. Plus, I'm going to see them in February yay!
  7. I love the smell of freshly washed clothes.
  8. Sometimes before I go to sleep I sing the Goodbye Song from Bear in the Big Blue House :)
  9. This year for the first time ever I won iTunes festival tickets! And not just one pair, but two! I got to see Rizzle Kicks and Dizzee Rascal, ahhh yeahhh! *shimmies*
  10. I LOVE FOOD!!!
  11. I'm absolutely terrified of spiders! I hate them!
  12. I'm a huge fan of oldskool music. I'm talking 70s, 80s and 90s. I think music back then was so much better than a lot of the music we have now.
  13. I have stretchmarks and I love them.
  14. There are times when my mind goes blank and I completely forget how to spell the simplest of words. One time I forgot how to spell 'of'.... yes you read correctly, I forgot how to spell a word with TWO LETTERS!! I'm not proud... :(
  15. I really want to travel. Just go somewhere new, experience different cultures, eat food and take lots of pictures.
  16. I've never been to America but would love to go. It's on the cards for next year, so fingers crossed.
  17. I have chronic bitch face (look it up, it's real!) My face looks like I've eaten a crate of sour grapes but really, I'm fine!
  18. Whenever I hear Latch by Disclosure I get the biggest smile on my face. I don't know why but the song makes me so happy.
  19. When I was younger I wanted to be a vampire; move aside Kristen I'm the real Bella Swan! :P
  20. I bruise really easily and I turn some wacky shades when I do: purple, pink, black, I'm sure even green at one point :/
I hope you enjoyed this tag, because I sure did! I am going to tag:

Chi-Chi from That Good Girl Chi
Nee from ROSECANDLE11
Maya from Petite & Unique

& anyone else who would like to do it! If you don't want to do the tag, why don't you comment below with a random fact about yourself xo

L!VE: AlunaGeorge

On Thursday (24th) my sister and I ventured to O2 Sheperds Bush Empire to see AlunaGeorge live in concert. For those of you who aren't familiar with them, AlunaGeroge are an electronic music duo from London. Aluna sings and writes the songs while George focuses on the production and instrumentation. Their songs include Your Drums Your Love, You Know You Like It, Attracting Flies and they feature on a track by Disclosure called White Noise.
I loved that the venue was small which meant that the concert felt a lot more intimate (one of the opening acts actually junped into the crowd!) It was a nice night, despite some rude individuals who had no manners and a couple in front of us kissing and dry humping the whole night :/

I didn't manage to take many pictures and some of the ones I did take came out bad; my camera just didn't want to cooperate.
I have no idea what happened here but I like it!

NOTD | Park Ave

Tried something a little different on my nails... Been admiring this colour for a while now so decided to give it another go, and I'm glad I did. I love how it looks on my nails and I think it's one of those colours that will suit any skin tone. Definitely enjoying having this colour on my nails at the moment xo

Check Please.

Leather jacket - H&M // Vest - Primark // Checked shirt - Primark // Joni jeans - Topshop // Boots - Topshop
I took what felt like hundreds of pictures for this post and these are the only two I liked. I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the moment (*sniffles*) and it's starting to get really cold. But despite that I love the lighting of these pictures and the outfit itself. I'm back at uni now so that means casual, comfortable outfits with a little something to keep it interesting. I've finally broken into these boots that I showed you in a previous New In post... and let me tell you, it wasn't easy! I recently bought this checked shirt from Primark; I love the colour of it as green is slowly becoming my favourite colour. I tied it around my waist and paired it with my Joni jeans, grey vest and leather jacket for a simple, edgy look.

I know it's been a while since my last post. This final year at uni is slowly taking over my life :( I hope you are all well xo

A Piece of Me In... Lisbon, Portugal #4

We have come to the fourth and final photo diary of my time in Lisbon :( Going through the pictures and making these posts have made me miss Portugal so much... I really do hope that I get another chance to go there. After, the previous post you will be happy to know that there will not be as many pictures in this one lol. We went out late on the Saturday night and didn't get in until around 10am (yes, 10 in the morning!) on Sunday so we just spent the whole day sleeping :P For my last night we went out for dinner at an Italian restaurant called Da Vinci then drinks in Bairro Alto. What I loved about Bairro Alto is that everyone was so friendly (sometimes a bit too friendly...) I got to meet a  lot of different people, from different countries some who were also on holiday and others who were residents.
Just before we headed out... My friend has her own blog where she will be documenting her time in Lisbon, so if you're interested here is the link http://chantemarie.wordpress.com/; show her some love!
Leather jacket - H&M // Cami - Topshop // Shorts - Primark // Side bag - ASOS // Shoes - Primark
Messing around, I was meant to be pointing at the church :/
The lovely waiters at the resturant decided to jump in for a photo op :P
My friend's spaghetti bolognese and my lasagne (I loooooove lasagne!)
I hope you've enjoyed these photo diaries, and hopefully I will be able to share more travelling experiences with you in the future xo

A Piece of Me In... Lisbon, Portugal #3

This next post will show the pictures I took when in Baixa-Chiado, or Downtown Lisbon, which is described as the heart of the city. To get there we took a tram, my first ever tram ride! We also took a stroll through Bairro Alto, which is quite quiet during the day however is transformed at night into the city's vibrant nightlife. We had lunch in Nicola Cafe in Rossio Square which faces the National Theatre and St. George's Castle. There is something about the buildings in Lisbon that I find so beautiful, so there are A LOT of pictures of buildings in this post... Actually, there's just a lot of pictures full stop :)
Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição Velha
I arrived in Lisbon at the beginning of Lisbon Week, which was a week of celebrating the art, history etc of Lisbon, with concerts and lectures in unexpected places.
Camões Square (Praça Luís de Camões)
Top - H&M // Skirt - Topshop (also seen here) // Bag - my friend's
Was not ready for this one... I kinda like it though
Comercio Square (Praça do Comercio) & Figueira Square (Praça da Figueira)
In the distance is the Monument to Christ (Cristo-Rei), which was built in 1959 in thanks to God for having spared Portugal in the Second World War.
My lunch was grilled cod with Portuguese potatoes
Dulce de Leche cheesecake... I love me some cheesecake :)
