This next post will show the pictures I took when in Baixa-Chiado, or Downtown Lisbon, which is described as the heart of the city. To get there we took a tram, my first ever tram ride! We also took a stroll through Bairro Alto, which is quite quiet during the day however is transformed at night into the city's vibrant nightlife. We had lunch in Nicola Cafe in Rossio Square which faces the National Theatre and St. George's Castle. There is something about the buildings in Lisbon that I find so beautiful, so there are A LOT of pictures of buildings in this post... Actually, there's just a lot of pictures full stop :)
Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição Velha
I arrived in Lisbon at the beginning of Lisbon Week, which was a week of celebrating the art, history etc of Lisbon, with concerts and lectures in unexpected places.
Camões Square (Praça Luís de Camões)
Top - H&M // Skirt - Topshop (also seen here) // Bag - my friend's
Was not ready for this one... I kinda like it though
Comercio Square (Praça do Comercio) & Figueira Square (Praça da Figueira)
In the distance is the Monument to Christ (Cristo-Rei), which was built in 1959 in thanks to God for having spared Portugal in the Second World War.
