It is well and truly sweater (or jumper) weather here in the UK. We had an unseasonably mild day last Friday and the clocks went back an hour on Sunday signalling the official end of summer. As the clocks changed, so did the weather. The sun is still shining and it's not raining (yet) but it's definitely a lot colder.

Season Transition: Mustard + Stripes
As mentioned in my previous posts (here and here), my summer staple this year were my striped trousers from Zara. I wore them several times, for so many different occasions. I just couldn't bring myself to stop wearing them when the weather turned a bit colder; so, what do you do when you're not quite ready to stop wearing your summer clothes? Just add a jumper!

(Off) White Jeans
I met up with a friend in Brick Lane and I wore white jeans for the first time - or for the first time that I can remember, and I didn't get them dirty!

Rose Gold Velvet
I recently bought this lovely velvet top from Zara that is bang on trend this season. I'm really loving velvet and I'm seeing it a lot over social media. I wore this outfit to Stylist Live a couple of weeks ago. This was the first I'd heard of this event and was really excited about it. I had a great time and was fortunate enough to be VIP so was able to really appreciate all they had to offer. Another trend this outfit keeps up with is the pointed flat shoes. These are a recent purchase from ASOS and I thought it would really compliment the top. They are currently on sale and if you click the links under the last picture they'll take you to the items xo

Sun Daze
Cami, Mom Jeans & Ballet Pumps - Topshop // Belt - Primark // Bag - H&M // Sunglasses - 7X
I think it's safe to say that summer is well and truly over here in the UK. Although we are having a few days of pleasant weather, this usually happens in September right before Autumn. I love Autumn, the temperature does decrease but the sun still shines and that makes me happy! I'm definitely going to miss summer, but as I mentioned in my previous post I'll be going on holiday next month so I have a week of beautiful weather to look forward to
This outfit is something I wore for a cheeky Nandos with my family a few Sundays ago. It was nice to feel the sun on my skin after a week of terrible weather. My favourite jeans and my favourite summer staple, the cami, paired with ballet pumps for a casual look xo

Rose Gold Sliders: The Outfit
Top - ASOS ((old) // Skirt - Oasis // Sliders - ASOS // Bag - Zara // Sunglasses - River Island
This is an outfit I put together with the sliders I showed in my previous post. As I mentioned before, I am in love with these sliders! They are so comfortable and look lovely. I paired them with an a-line denim skirt and a simple white top. For the accessories I added these cool reflectors sunglasses from River Island (through ASOS) and small snakeskin bag from Zara. Summer is coming to an end here in the UK, however, I will be going on holiday next month so will be able to hold on to the sunshine for a little longer xo

Cold Shoulder
Cami & Jeans - ASOS // Sandals - Office
As I'm sure you're all aware, a hot trend this spring/summer is the Cold Shoulder. Whether it's strapless, one-shoulder or cut out, baring your shoulders is in! In this post I'll be showing a cut-out top that I recently bought from ASOS. I love the simplicity of the top, and the ease in styling it. In this instance I opted for a casual outfit, however, it can just as easily be dressed up into an outfit for a night out.Although they are not the focus of this post, I am literally in love with the sandals I'm wearing here. I bought them on sale from Office and they are so comfortable. They're a great addition to my summer wardrobe and have already been worn a number of times since buying them a couple of weeks ago xo

Birthday 'Fit
Sunglasses; Bag; Boots - ASOS // Jacket; Shirt - H&M // Mom Jeans - Topshop
This post shows an outfit I wore for drinks with some of my friends to celebrate my birthday last week. I wanted to keep it quite casual, but add a lil something seeing as I was the birthday girl. As soon as I added the boots, jacket and minimal gold accessories, I had the perfect outfit!
I know I've been away for a while now, but I'm slowly trying to get back into the swing of blogging. There isn't much of an explanation behind it, I just kinda fell out of it. But I'm back! I will say though that I have taken that pressure off myself where I felt I had to post all the time, or a certain amount. So I might not post for a whole month, then I might post six times the next. The best way for me to do this is to be motivated to blog and to ensure that maximum effort has gone into my posts so I am proud of what I produce xo

3 Ways to Wear Black
I used to love wearing an all black outfit, but ever since I started my part-time job three months ago it's starting to become a drag. The 'uniform' says I have to wear smart, office like clothes that are black (I work in a small boutique in Chelsea, and the walls are completely white so I guess the black is a nice contrast). It wasn't long after I started working there that I began incorporating other colours and textures into my outfits. Therefore, this post is to showcase some of the outfits I've come up with that both bend and keep within the 'all black' rule. I got my inspiration for this post from Daecery at Dae One Style and her three simple tips...
1. Add Prints
Coat & Jumper - H&M // Gingham Treggings - Topshop // Chelsea boots - ASOS // Bag - Zara
2. Add Textures
Top - New Look // Fluffy cardigan - H&M // Jeans & Loafers - Topshop
3. Add a Pop of Colour
Top - H&M // Trousers - ASOS // Loafers - New Look // Lipstick - L'Oréal Paris Color Riche Liya's Pure Red
Apparently I'm allergic to looking at the camera haha xo

Fruity Culottes
Sunglasses - River Island // Crop Top - Topshop // Culottes - Primark // Sandals - Office
Today was quite warm considering the weather we've been having recently, so I decided to make the most of these last few days of summer and take a few snaps. I bought these culottes a few months ago and I've noticed that they have become somewhat of a staple for the season. What I love about culottes is that they provide the practicality of shorts with the look of a midi skirt. Although mine are quite casual, I have seen many tailored culottes perfect for the workplace or a more dressed up look. I paired the culottes with a simple black crop top and one of my many pairs of brown sandals xo

One Piece, Three Looks: The Sunflower Dress
Sandals - Topshop // Bag - Vintage // Casio - Ebay
Jacket - H&M // Bag - Primark // Converse
Jacket & Bag - H&M // Boots - New Look
I love sunflower prints on just about everything; from crop tops, shorts, skirts or a dress... like this one. I bought this one from ASOS a couple of months ago and was itching to wear it in the summer. What I love about this dress is that it can be worn in many different ways, which I show in this lookbook.
LOOK 1: This look is really simple (and one that I put together to showcase the dress in all its glory), it can be worn for anything from a casual stroll through the park, or brunch with family or friends.
LOOK 2: The second look is extremely casual, and one that I will probably find myself wearing quite often. I paired the dress with an oversized denim jacket and my go-to converses, with a brown side bag to finish off the look. The dress is quite girly, however the converses (and maybe a pair of shorts underneath) allow me to be active during the day.
LOOK 3: Finally, look number three is something a little more dressed up. I added the lace-up boots and my go-to leather jacket to transform this casual dress into an outfit perfect for a night out, or for one of those "summer" days when our dear friend heavy rain showers decides to pay us a visit.... xo

The Mom Jeans
Coat - ASOS // Cropped jumper & Mom jeans - Topshop // Bag - Forever 21 // Converses
Just a quick outfit post for you guys. Practically everything I'm wearing is a recent buy apart from the jumper which I purchased a couple of months ago. I've been on the hunt for the perfect mom jeans for a while now and I'm so happy I found them. I originally bought a pair from Topshop when they first came out but I returned them because I felt the fit was a bit off, but these are great! You'll most probably be seeing a lot more of them too! I saw this lightweight coat on sale on ASOS and instantly fell in love. I adore the colour and the fact that it has an oversized fit, it's definitely not a winter coat but will be perfect for Spring. These are a new pair of Converses which I bought from Oxfam for £7! As I'm sure you know by now I absolutely love Converses! They'd never been worn, so still look great. Also, the bag is a recent buy from Forever 21; my sister bought it first and I liked it so much I bought it myself haha. I love that it is bigger than my usual side bag but smaller than my great big shopper, and can still fit all my things in it xo

IVORY
Blazer - Topshop // Top - Primark // Leather trousers - H&M // Shoes - Dorothy Perkins // Clutch - ASOS
When I ordered this blazer online I actually thought it was white (even though the description clearly said ivory...) so was a little disappointed when it arrived. However, when I put this outfit together I was no longer disappointed and became excited at the endless possible outfits this blazer can achieve. In this look I decided to pair it with a simple grey top, my leather trousers and a pair of court heels. I chose to go with gold accessories in the form of my Casio watch and clutch bag with gold studs on (a Christmas pressie from my sister). I'm also wearing my new favourite eyelashes, they're the Cheryl Cole style from the Girls Aloud designs by Eylure. I love how natural they look, and the fact that they are subtle enough for the day with the right amount of volume for the night xoSaturday, 19 October 2013
Check Please.
Leather jacket - H&M // Vest - Primark // Checked shirt - Primark // Joni jeans - Topshop // Boots - Topshop
I took what felt like hundreds of pictures for this post and these are the only two I liked. I'm feeling a bit under the weather at the moment (*sniffles*) and it's starting to get really cold. But despite that I love the lighting of these pictures and the outfit itself. I'm back at uni now so that means casual, comfortable outfits with a little something to keep it interesting. I've finally broken into these boots that I showed you in a previous New In post... and let me tell you, it wasn't easy! I recently bought this checked shirt from Primark; I love the colour of it as green is slowly becoming my favourite colour. I tied it around my waist and paired it with my Joni jeans, grey vest and leather jacket for a simple, edgy look.
I know it's been a while since my last post. This final year at uni is slowly taking over my life :( I hope you are all well xo

Kimono
Kimono - Primark // Cami & Jeans - Topshop // Sandals - Office // Bag - Primark
Yet another daytime look for you lovely lot. I've had this kimono for about 2 years now and I've only worn it a few times. I snatched it up from Primark the summer before I left for uni (when I was actually working in Primark) for only £5. Although summer is almost over, paired with the cami this kimono is perfect for warmer days. I brought the outfit together with my Joni jeans that I've been raving about for ages now, my brown bag which I've shown you before and a pair of sandals; as well as midi's and brown bags, I'm obsessed with brown sandals too :/ xo
