3 Ways to Wear Black

I used to love wearing an all black outfit, but ever since I started my part-time job three months ago it's starting to become a drag. The 'uniform' says I have to wear smart, office like clothes that are black (I work in a small boutique in Chelsea, and the walls are completely white so I guess the black is a nice contrast). It wasn't long after I started working there that I began incorporating other colours and textures into my outfits. Therefore, this post is to showcase some of the outfits I've come up with that both bend and keep within the 'all black' rule. I got my inspiration for this post from Daecery at Dae One Style and her three simple tips...

1. Add Prints
Coat & Jumper - H&M // Gingham Treggings - Topshop // Chelsea boots - ASOS // Bag - Zara
2. Add Textures
Top - New Look // Fluffy cardigan - H&M // Jeans & Loafers - Topshop
3. Add a Pop of Colour
Top - H&M // Trousers - ASOS // Loafers - New Look // Lipstick - L'Oréal Paris Color Riche Liya's Pure Red
Apparently I'm allergic to looking at the camera haha xo

One Piece, Three Looks: The Sunflower Dress

Sandals - Topshop // Bag - Vintage // Casio - Ebay
Jacket - H&M // Bag - Primark // Converse
Jacket & Bag - H&M //  Boots - New Look
I love sunflower prints on just about everything; from crop tops, shorts, skirts or a dress... like this one. I bought this one from ASOS a couple of months ago and was itching to wear it in the summer. What I love about this dress is that it can be worn in many different ways, which I show in this lookbook.

LOOK 1: This look is really simple (and one that I put together to showcase the dress in all its glory), it can be worn for anything from a casual stroll through the park, or brunch with family or friends.

LOOK 2: The second look is extremely casual, and one that I will probably find myself wearing quite often. I paired the dress with an oversized denim jacket and my go-to converses, with a brown side bag to finish off the look. The dress is quite girly, however the converses (and maybe a pair of shorts underneath) allow me to be active during the day.

LOOK 3: Finally, look number three is something a little more dressed up. I added the lace-up boots and  my go-to leather jacket to transform this casual dress into an outfit perfect for a night out, or for one of those "summer" days when our dear friend heavy rain showers decides to pay us a visit.... xo

Light 'n' Airy

Cami & Skirt - Topshop // Sandals - New Look // Bag - Vintage (Mum's)
So this is the outfit that I showed you guys in my post about my Personal Shopping experience at Topshop. I decided not to wear the necklace as I wanted a more dressed down look. The whole outfit is very light and airy which makes it perfect for hot days as there is a lot of room for breeze to get around lol. I'm still in love with the patterns and slits in the skirt. I brought the whole outfit together with my sandals from New Look that I bought a couple years ago and my mum's snakeskin bag from back in the day :)

Ooh and in case you haven't noticed, I'm completely obsessed with midi skirts this summer xo

Mustard Midi

Peace!
Crop top - Topshop // Skirt - Dorothy Perkins // Sandals - New Look // Bag - Primark // Sunglasses - H&M
This is the outfit I wore when I went to Hyde Park with a couple of friends. Us Londoners have been lucky enough to be blessed with some beautiful weather these past few weeks and we have definitely been making the most of it.
As soon as I saw this crop top I fell in love; it has a different style to the 90's crop top that I got from ASOS  and I think it is extremely flattering. I bought the skirt a couple of years ago but this was my first time wearing out (I tend to do that...) I love the colour and the style/length; it's got quite a 50's look to it. It's actually a size too big; I bought it on sale and they only had a size 12 left but I just couldn't leave it. So in order to make it fit around my waist I use a safety pin :) You may remember the bag from my recent fashion new in post when it was a lighter brown... I'm guessing the sun changed the colour, but I like it because it's given it a kinda vintage look
I hope you're all enjoying this lovely weather xo

The Parka 2.0

I know it's been a while since my last outfit post, but my hair was a hot mess as I was in-between hairstyles and I just couldn't let you guys see me like that lol. However, I've finally sorted it out and I'm back with another outfit post for ya!
Parka - Warehouse // Sunglasses - H&M // Top - H&M // Jeans - New Look // Plimsoles - Shoezone
Lipstick - Papaya Punch by Sleek
Some of you may remember me first showing you my parka back in November when I wore it as a winter coat (see post here). If you remember that, you'll also remember me saying that the wool lining and fur trim are detachable, completely transforming the once heavy coat into a light Spring/Summer jacket. To complete the look I've paired the jacket with a simple striped top from H&M's basic collection, a pair or jeans and white plimsoles from good old Shoezone :) I love these shoes; they were so cheap but they are so comfortable! This jacket is perfect for those cool "summer" days we seem to be having a lot of these days in London; although they said that the weather should be warming up this week; whoever 'they' are... xo

OOTD | Black, Blue and Leopard Print too

Leather jacket - H&M // Top - H&M // Jeans - New Look // Shoes - Topshop // Bag - H&M

Just a little outfit I threw together... My go-to leather jacket you've seen many a times. I love that thing! I love the simplicity of this top and how the sheer panel adds a lil something to it. I'm a huge fan of the contrasting colours that are shown when you roll up the jeans. I've always loved jeans like this and I've noticed that they are starting to become a lot more popular. I bought these shoes from Topshop in January and I'm only just breaking into them; luckily they don't hurt too much. They are the leopard print version of the black studded  ones I have; got these for £15 down from £28! Loving my new bag from H&M. I have a thing for bags with detachable straps. It's big enough to hold all my things but small enough to still be cute and stylish xo

The Parka

Hello! ^_^

I've accumulated a lot of new clothes over the past months and it would be too much to do one big haul, but just to let you know that everything I'm wearing is new :)

I've been looking for a Parka jacket for a long time now, but in the past every time I wanted to buy one my size would be sold out. However, this year I started the search early and found this beaut from Warehouse. As you probably know good Parkas are usually quite expensive, however Warehouse were having a 25% off deal so I got this jacket  for a good price. The wool lining and fur trim are detachable so it can be taken off and worn as a light jacket in the warmer months.

I'm also in love with these boots that I got from Dorothy Perkins. I had been on the lookout for these kind of boots and was ecstatic when I saw them on the DP website with 25% off (yes, I'm a sucker for a good discount lol) They're not too high and can be paired with almost anything!

New In: Primark, Asos & New Look

I went out during the week to buy some back-to-uni items, and bought a couple things that caught my eye (the jumper I actually bought a couple weeks ago but I wanted to share it).

Green stitch detail jumper - ASOS / Guns 'n' Roses vest - Primark

The jumper is really light so a vest or bandeau would definitely need to be worn underneath it. I like it because it's light enough to be worn when the weather is warm and can be layered for when it's cooler. I love tops that have the Guns 'n' Roses logo on it because I think it makes for a really nice casual look. I already have a Guns 'n' Roses top, which can be seen in my festival ootd.

Brown side bag - Primark / White Plimsoles - New Look

I love brown bags! I have quite a few which I showed in a previous post. I love how they go with so many outfits and can really bring an outfit together. Primark also has this bag in burgundy, black and green. They all look so nice and for £4 I think I might be tempted to buy another ;) These plimsolses were a must as my current pair have taken a turn for the worst! I wear them when I don't want to wear my Converses or Vans but don't want to wear shoes.

These pieces will definitely be added to my uni/everyday wardrobe and will be making appearances here on future ootd's xo

OOTN | Black & Leopard

Hey guys!

I honestly can't believe it's September already. I feel like I've barely had a summer and it's already over. I'll be going back to uni and moving into my new place in about 2 weeks, so these next couple of weeks are going to be hectic.

But anyway, yesterday I met up with a few of my friends for a night out in Camden. We started out at The Ice Wharf and ended up at The Cuban. I had a really great time! Whenever I get together with my friends it's always good times. As I said before, we're all getting ready to go back to uni so we're trying to spend a much time together as possible. Despite the fact we're scattered at different universities we always manage to keep in touch, which is great :)

For my outfit I decided to wear some new pieces that I bought recently; my hat leggings and shoes. I went with something really casual because I knew we were going to be moving around a lot. I was in the mood to wear all black but I thought I'd shake it up and pair the outfit with my new leopard print pumps, silver jewellery and red lips. I'm sure we're all aware that leopard print is a key look for A/W so I was really happy when I found these shoes.

Was not ready for this picture lol

New In: Blue Suede Shoes

Hello!

I bought these heels about 2 weeks ago and I've been in two minds about them ever since. Obviously, I liked them once which was why I bought them, but after a while I felt they made my feet look funny. So, I decided I was going to return them. But on the day I was going to return them I thought I'd try them on one last time and guess what? They looked amazing! I don't know if it was because they knew I wanted to return them or something but they stepped their game up and I love them again hahaa.

By the way, some of you who follow my sister may remember her posting them, but I'd just like to say I saw them first, I bought them first and she copied me! :)

HAUL | H&M, Topshop, ASOS, New Look & Beauty Base

Hey guys!

Here are some things that I've bought recently that I want to share with you :) I have to admit that I tend to buy a lot of things then I won't really wear them. But I've told myself that as soon as the weather gets better - because it's raining cats and dogs with a side of thunder and lightening in the UK right now and as soon as I have somewhere to go, I'm gonna put the pieces together and make some outfits!

H&M
Blouse - was £19.99 I got it on sale for £9.99

Blouse - £14.99
I've been looking for a sheer blouse for quite a while, so I was happy when I saw this one at H&M. At the time they were having 10% off your whole order online so I actually got it for £13.49 :) But I'm still on the look-out for a black one.

 Clutch - £7.99

Bag - was £29.99 I got it on sale for $14.99
I have this bag in green as well and when I bought it they only had green and brown. But they've recently brought it out again in black and white, it was on sale and I was looking for a black bag so I thought, why not?! :)

Topshop

Jumper - was £32 but I got it for £10
I can't believe this used to be £32, what a bump! It's a cropped jumper and really, REALLY bright.

Leigh Super Soft Ankle Grazer - let's just say they were kinda pricey :)
I love these jeans! They were in my shopping basket (online) for a while then one day I was like what the heck! Lol. They fit amazingly kinda like leggings and I love the colour.

ASOS
Butterfly slippers - £16
I love this style of shoe. I have my spiked ones from Topshop which I showed in my other post here.

Spiked bracelet - was £8 I got it for £6

Jewellery plate - I can't remebmer the original price but I got it on sale for £3

New Look
I bought the two rings at the front recently, both for £2.99
The pink one was also £2.99, the middle one £3.99 and the one on the left is from Republic at £4.49

Beauty Base
All 99p each (bargain!) L-R Pretty in Pink, Magnetic Force and Moody Red

Hope you enjoyed this haul!
