Street Feast London - Dalston Yard
Slow roast pork belly from Yum Bun
Bacon cheeseburger from Bleecker Burger
Hey guys!
So yesterday me, my sister and a few of my friends went to Street Feast which is a night food market. It happens every summer and this year they took place in Dalston Yard and Lewisham (Model Market). There were over 16 traders selling different types of food, such as lobster, ribs, burgers, pizza and much more! If there is one thing you should know about me it's my love for food, so when I heard about this I knew I had to go - my bacon cheeseburger was delish!
I had a really great time, the atmosphere was buzzing and the food was amazing! It was a completely new way for me to eat, drink and simply hang out with my friends. It finishes in about two weeks so if you're in London I strongly suggest you try to get yourself to one of these venues and if you can't, there's always next summer xo

L!VE: Disclosure
On Thursday (28th) my friend and I went to o2 Academy Brixton to watch Disclosure live in concert. For those of you who aren't familiar with them, Disclosure are an English electronic music duo consisting of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence. They have so many amazing songs such as Latch (ft. Sam Smith), You & Me (ft. Eliza Doolittle), White Noise (ft. AlunaGeorge) and F For You. A lot of their songs include the vocals of others artists, a few who made appearances on the night; Sam Smith (who I'm really loving at the moment), Eliza Doolittle and Sasha Keable.
We had two DJs keep us entertained before the boys came on which really helped the crowd get going. I felt like I was in a rave with all the strobe lights and the smell of alcohol lol. I had such a great time it was truly an amazing night. Seems like I've turned into a proper concert goer haha xo
*Apologies for the quality of the pictures, they were taken on my phone!

L!VE: AlunaGeorge
On Thursday (24th) my sister and I ventured to O2 Sheperds Bush Empire to see AlunaGeorge live in concert. For those of you who aren't familiar with them, AlunaGeroge are an electronic music duo from London. Aluna sings and writes the songs while George focuses on the production and instrumentation. Their songs include Your Drums Your Love, You Know You Like It, Attracting Flies and they feature on a track by Disclosure called White Noise.
I loved that the venue was small which meant that the concert felt a lot more intimate (one of the opening acts actually junped into the crowd!) It was a nice night, despite some rude individuals who had no manners and a couple in front of us kissing and dry humping the whole night :/
I didn't manage to take many pictures and some of the ones I did take came out bad; my camera just didn't want to cooperate.
I have no idea what happened here but I like it!

Random International: Rain Room Exhibition
'An awful lot happens without people being aware. They come to certain conclusions and even perform actions without ever really, consciously considering why. This is what forms both the impetus and the investigation of the studio's work. We experiment with this world of barely perceptible behaviour and its simulation to explore human existence.'
-Random International 2012
On Sunday, my sister and I went to the (free) Rain Room exhibition at Barbican Centre in London. It was truly an amazing experience. Rain falls from everywhere in the room except the spot you are standing at. It's very different from just being outside with an umbrella when it's raining, because it makes you feel like you're able to control the rain. You don't need an umbrella or hood or newspaper to stop getting wet, you just need to be there.
For people who arrived early they were treated to a performance by dancers and models in the room. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see them, but they had really soothing music playing in the background which gave a really calming atmosphere.
These are the last days of the exhibition (it ends on Sunday 3rd March) so if you're in London I strongly suggest you get your butt down there! However, I will warn you that the waiting time is LONG! I'm talking 6 hours and more, especially because it's almost finished. If you do go, I recommend that you get there at least 2 hours before opening.
'In Rain Room, Random International invites you to experience what it's like to control the rain and put your trust in the work to the test.'
Open daily 11am - 8pm; Thursday until 10pm
^ That's me :)
