Berlin Cathedral
DDR/GDR Museum
Holocaust Memorial
Jewish Museum
The second and final photodiary of my time in Berlin focuses on the museums and historical monuments I visited.Whenever I travel to another country I make an effort to learn about their culture and their history. We visited most of the historically relevant areas in Berlin. I won't go into the details but I'm sure you know Berlin was involved in a very serious point in history and it was incredibly insightful and somewhat chilling to learn more about what happened.
For example, the last image shown above is of an installation by Menashe Kadishman in the Jewish Museum called Shalekhet (Fallen Leaves) in the Memory Void; it represents the innocent lives lost throughout history, the victims of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
We also went inside the Reichstag Building, visited the Topogrophy of Terror, Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie xo
