One Piece, Three Looks: The Sunflower Dress

Sandals - Topshop // Bag - Vintage // Casio - Ebay
Jacket - H&M // Bag - Primark // Converse
Jacket & Bag - H&M //  Boots - New Look
I love sunflower prints on just about everything; from crop tops, shorts, skirts or a dress... like this one. I bought this one from ASOS a couple of months ago and was itching to wear it in the summer. What I love about this dress is that it can be worn in many different ways, which I show in this lookbook.

LOOK 1: This look is really simple (and one that I put together to showcase the dress in all its glory), it can be worn for anything from a casual stroll through the park, or brunch with family or friends.

LOOK 2: The second look is extremely casual, and one that I will probably find myself wearing quite often. I paired the dress with an oversized denim jacket and my go-to converses, with a brown side bag to finish off the look. The dress is quite girly, however the converses (and maybe a pair of shorts underneath) allow me to be active during the day.

LOOK 3: Finally, look number three is something a little more dressed up. I added the lace-up boots and  my go-to leather jacket to transform this casual dress into an outfit perfect for a night out, or for one of those "summer" days when our dear friend heavy rain showers decides to pay us a visit.... xo

UPDATE!

Hello, hello, hello!

To everyone and anyone who is still interested in my blog... HELLO! :)
It has been a very long time since my last post and the reason being is that I was in the final months of my degree. I had my last exam on the 28th May and so the past few weeks have been spent doing absolutely nothing! And it feels good! Aaaand, today I found out that I got a first so will be graduating with a First Class Honours degree! I'm absolutely over the moon and thought I would share that with you guys. The last few months leading up to this point, with all the early rises and library sessions, stress eating and moments of doubt paid off. This is just a reminder that you can achieve anything if you really want it and give it everything you can!

Now, I have a lot of posts and outfits that I will be sharing with you all over the coming weeks, so look out for those. I hope you're all well xo

A Piece of Me In... Amsterdam, Netherlands #2

Hey guys,

So this post will be showing our second and last full day in Amsterdam. On this day we visited the iconic 'I Amsterdam' sign which was so close to our hotel as it is situated in Museumplein. It's almost impossible to take an entire picture with the sign as there were so many people, but this was the best I could do. We also visited the Flower Marker (Bloemenmarkt) which is a hotspot for tourists as it is the only floating flower market in the world. We then found ourselves in the heart of Amsterdam Central and visited Rembrandt Square (a major square in Amsterdam named after a famous painter), the Sex Museum and took pictures of the royal palace. The Sex Museum was definitely something, my friends and I shared a lot of laughs as we went around; it's just one of those places you have to go to when you visit Amsterdam! Later that night we ventured into the Red Light District... it was definitely an experience!
Probably the only decent images I can share from the pictures that I took in the sex museum lol
Not the real RLD... pictures are not allowed there
All in all, it was an amazing experience. I loved taking pictures of the buildings and the canals, as I said, Amsterdam is a beautiful city. I still find myself daydreaming about my time there, and I cannot wait to go back xo

A Piece of Me In... Amsterdam, Netherlands #1

Hey guys!

Amsterdam is somewhere that I have always wanted to go so in January I decided that I would go for my 21st birthday (which was about 5 weeks ago... better late than never ay?) I went with a couple of friends and we stayed for 3 nights over a long weekend (Thursday evening to Sunday morning). It was very cold and rained the majority of the time but it was a great experience. Amsterdam is a beautiful city, one that reminds me a lot of London but also has it's own special something that sets the two cities apart. I did most things that you do when you go out there except biking and riding along the canal in a boat; hopefully I'll get to do those things when I go back one day! This post will be showing our first full day in Amsterdam. Our hotel was situated in the museumplein so we visited Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh museum, the Anne Frank museum and generally just enjoyed what the city had to offer such as authentic pancakes at the popular Pancake Bakery and the infamous sex shops!
Rijksmuseum
I can't even share the pictures of the things I saw in this shop lol
The only picture I have from the Anne Frank House as pictures aren't allowed around the museum
Apple and cinnamon pancake
I hope you've all been well xo

The Mom Jeans

Coat - ASOS // Cropped jumper & Mom jeans - Topshop // Bag - Forever 21 // Converses
Just a quick outfit post for you guys. Practically everything I'm wearing is a recent buy apart from the jumper which I purchased a couple of months ago. I've been on the hunt for the perfect mom jeans for a while now and I'm so happy I found them. I originally bought a pair from Topshop when they first came out but I returned them because I felt the fit was a bit off, but these are great! You'll most probably be seeing a lot more of them too! I saw this lightweight coat on sale on ASOS and instantly fell in love. I adore the colour and the fact that it has an oversized fit, it's definitely not a winter coat but will be perfect for Spring. These are a new pair of Converses which I bought from Oxfam for £7! As I'm sure you know by now I absolutely love Converses! They'd never been worn, so still look great. Also, the bag is a recent buy from Forever 21; my sister bought it first and I liked it so much I bought it myself haha. I love that it is bigger than my usual side bag but smaller than my great big shopper, and can still fit all my things in it xo
