St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Body Scrub

Hey guys!

As some of you may remember from my beauty basics post on shea butter I was on the look out for a new body scrub, and I found one! I actually had my eye on this product for a while before I bought it but the price is what held me back (£5.09), however I decided to loosen my purse strings a buy it. Luckily when I went to buy it, it was on sale for half price; so I ended up buying it for £2.54 (I think...) I've been using this body scrub fairly regularly for nearly 2 months now and I am pleased with the results. When I first started using it I noticed it wasn't as abrasive as my previous body scrub and I thought this would be a problem, but it wasn't. It has the right amount of abrasiveness and at the same time moisturises the skin leaving it looking and feeling soft and smooth. This body scrub has 100% natural exfoliators that cleanse and exfoliate away dead cells from the skin's surface. The scent is lovely as it is not overpowering and doesn't linger too long. Now that I've had a chance to use it, I would definitely repurchase this scrub at the full price. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new body scrub.

Have you tried St. Ives body scrub? What body scrub do you use?

Beauty Basics | Updated skin routine

Hello :)

This post, as the title says, is my updated skin routine and it's also a 2 month review of the St. Ives Naturally Clear facial scrub that I showed in my previous Beauty Basics post, here. I use the scrub every other day, because I think using it everyday would be too harsh on my face. On the days I don't use it I use my Simple facial wash, which is more gentle on my face and acts as a good balance.
I apply them in circular motions on my face and neck, obviously avoiding my eyes. The scrub smells amazing and I believe does a really good job. I've noticed that my face is clearer and a lot smoother :)

St. Ives Naturally Clear

Simple Kind to Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel

Palmer's Cocoa Butter with SPF 15

Also, this summer I've started using Palmer's Cocoa Butter with SPF 15. It's a lot easier than apply a moisturiser and then putting sun block on top (and it smells nice!) I think that we should always protect our skin during and after summer, because even though the sun is not shining as much it's still there. With this cream you have to make sure you blend it in properly, as with most sun blocks, or it looks like you have a kind of tinge to your skin.

Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes

I've included the Simple Kind to Skin Cleasnsing Facial Wipes. It's not something I use everyday, mainly just when I need to remove makeup. They do a really good job and leave my skin feeling really soft afterwards. It's also good at removing waterproof mascara, which is always a plus!

Beauty Basics | New In

Hello fellow bloggers!

Happy July! I'd say hope you're enjoying the lovely sunny weather but that would be far from the truth. As per usual the weather in Britain is windy and wet *Booooo* :( Hopefully the weather picks up so I can experiment with outfits and show you guys ^_^

Anyhoo, recently I stepped out to pick up one thing from Boots and I ended up buying all this from Boots and Superdrug.... They are both having some really good deals at the moment; 3 for 2, money off, buy one get one free (BOGOF) and all that good stuff! So all of these products were bought at discounted price (yay!)

My current shower gel is almost done which explains the Radox shower smoothies. They were a very decent price and they smell amazing.

The St. Ives facial scrubs were an impulse buy, I saw them near the counter with a BOGOF and thought why not? I haven't tried them yet because my Simple facial wash shown in my previous beauty basics post (here) is not finished yet. (The facial wash lasts a long time and does a great job so I will be buying it again as it's currently £2 in Superdrug!)
The green one is for all skin types and the orange one is for oily/blemish prone skin - which I believe I have.
I might do a review on it for you guys...

The Bio-Oil was an impulse buy as well (I really need to control my impulses... lol) It was half price in Superdrug and I have a couple of patches/scars that I want to smooth over so, yeah :) I could do a review on it if you guys want, but they say you have to use it for at least 3 months

And finally Carmex. My cherry one in the tub is finished so I thought I'd switch it up and get the strawberry one in a tube :) It does wonders for my lips and it has SPF15 which is a plus. And it smells lovely!

Has anyone tried any of these products? What are your current faves?
