A Piece of Me In... Paris, France #1

The view from our hotel
So last week I joined a friend on a 4/5 day trip to Paris, France. As you know from a previous post, this was not my first time in Paris, in fact it was my 3rd. However, as it was her first time there were a lot of things she wanted to do so every day was filled with a lot! We went to all the same places I'd already visited and then some. Our train was at 5:40am (yes AM!) so we arrived in Paris early enough to enjoy a whole day filled with touristy stuff. I'm sure you'll be able to tell from the pictures but on the first day we went to Love Lock Bridge, Notre Dame, The Louvre, The Place de la Concorde and Jardin de Plantes at The National Museum of Natural History (however, we didn't actually go in until the next day). And just like the last time I went, the weather was amazing! So much so it was almost unbearable! It was unusual weather for the time but I'm glad the weather was decent and not cold and wet. To start off the day we had breakfast at a lovely little diner called Breakfast in America, I was Hank Marvin (rhyming slang for starving) so I got the Triple Play; three pancakes, three pieces of bacon and three eggs scrambled... Yummers! This trip to France made me realise how much I love the language and so I'm currently attempting to learn it, wish me luck! xo

Street Feast London - Dalston Yard

Slow roast pork belly from Yum Bun
Bacon cheeseburger from Bleecker Burger
Hey guys!
So yesterday me, my sister and a few of my friends went to Street Feast which is a night food market. It happens every summer and this year they took place in Dalston Yard and Lewisham (Model Market). There were over 16 traders selling different types of food, such as lobster, ribs, burgers, pizza and much more! If there is one thing you should know about me it's my love for food, so when I heard about this I knew I had to go - my bacon cheeseburger was delish!
I had a really great time, the atmosphere was buzzing and the food was amazing! It was a completely new way for me to eat, drink and simply hang out with my friends. It finishes in about two weeks so if you're in London I strongly suggest you try to get yourself to one of these venues and if you can't, there's always next summer xo

Fruity Culottes

Sunglasses - River Island // Crop Top - Topshop // Culottes - Primark // Sandals - Office
Today was quite warm considering the weather we've been having recently, so I decided to make the most of these last few days of summer and take a few snaps. I bought these culottes a few months ago and I've noticed that they have become somewhat of a staple for the season. What I love about culottes is that they provide the practicality of shorts with the look of a midi skirt. Although mine are quite casual, I have seen many tailored culottes perfect for the workplace or a more dressed up look. I paired the culottes with a simple black crop top and one of my many pairs of brown sandals xo

New In: Chelsea Boots

Hello all,
Recently I've developed a look for black heeled boots. Every time I'm out shopping or shopping online, my eyes automatically see them. This pair is the most recent addition to the family, the ASOS Apocalypse Leather Chelsea Ankle Boots. The original price was £55 but I got them on sale for £28 and being 100% leather, I'd say that's a bargain. I love the design of Chelsea boots, such as the classic pull on feature and the stretch panel inserts. As the weather gradually gets cooler I think these would be perfect for the Autumn/Winter season. However, I'm still searching for a pair of black boots with a low heel for days where I don't feel like wearing heeled shoes, for example when running errands xo

One Piece, Three Looks: The Sunflower Dress

Sandals - Topshop // Bag - Vintage // Casio - Ebay
Jacket - H&M // Bag - Primark // Converse
Jacket & Bag - H&M //  Boots - New Look
I love sunflower prints on just about everything; from crop tops, shorts, skirts or a dress... like this one. I bought this one from ASOS a couple of months ago and was itching to wear it in the summer. What I love about this dress is that it can be worn in many different ways, which I show in this lookbook.

LOOK 1: This look is really simple (and one that I put together to showcase the dress in all its glory), it can be worn for anything from a casual stroll through the park, or brunch with family or friends.

LOOK 2: The second look is extremely casual, and one that I will probably find myself wearing quite often. I paired the dress with an oversized denim jacket and my go-to converses, with a brown side bag to finish off the look. The dress is quite girly, however the converses (and maybe a pair of shorts underneath) allow me to be active during the day.

LOOK 3: Finally, look number three is something a little more dressed up. I added the lace-up boots and  my go-to leather jacket to transform this casual dress into an outfit perfect for a night out, or for one of those "summer" days when our dear friend heavy rain showers decides to pay us a visit.... xo
