OOTD + My Everyday Face

Hi guys! ^_^

Just a quick post to show you what I wore today and my 'makeup'. I put makeup in inverted commas because it's not a full face, but it's what I always do when I'm going to uni or going out somewhere I don't need to dress up too much.
My outfit today was really casual. I think that's the best way to describe the way I dress, I tend to only dress up when I need to eg. parties, dinner etc.

These are the products I use on a regular basis. I use the concealer under my eyes and use my kabuki brush to blend it in. I use the Maybelline gel liner to do a simple wing and apply two (or three) coats of Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes mascara. I wait for them to dry and spray Fix +. Then I moisturise my lips with Carmex lip balm and apply my lipstick (info about the MAC products can be found here.)

Red Lippy

I know... It's been over a week since my last post! :O

In my defence I had two assignments due in last week and now I have exams to revise for. Saying that, I'm not gonna stop blogging completely during exam period but I just won't post as often.

Anyway, on to the good stuff! I've recently (well not recently, but hey!) purchased two red lipsticks one matte and the other... shiny? Glossy? I don't know what it's called but it's not matte :)

I went out looking for a red matte lipstick which was why I bought the Sleek one first, and then got the MUA (Makeup Academy) one after. The Sleek one is really matte! I didn't realise it was going to that matte. If you're thinking of purchasing it, I highly recommend moisturising your lips thoroughly before applying it so that it glides on and doesn't tug.

The lipstick from MUA was a lot cheaper and to be honest, I liked it a lot more. Even though it isn't matte, it's not too shiny and it glides on when I apply it. It is a bit darker than the Sleek one as you can see in these swatches...

...but I still love it!

I've heard a lot about Ruby Woo by MAC so that's a product I would really like to try out. I might purchase it as a present to myself after exams :)

NOTD | Shocking Pink & Savile Row

Hi there! :)

My current nail colours are Barry M - Shocking Pink and Nails Inc - Savile Row. I've done this kind of nail colour style before but with a light purple on my other nails. However, I saw this colour among the various nail varnishes me and my sisters have so I decided to try it out. It came out a lot darker than I thought it would, but I still like it. I painted my nails before I went to sleep and as you can tell from the pictures I didn't wait long enough for them to dry, so they have all those lines and stuff all over them which is so annoying, lol!

A night with 8 Out Of 10 Cats...

Hello guys! I know it's been a while, apologies!

So yesterday my sister and I went to the BBC studios to watch 8 Out Of 10 Cats. For those who don't know what it is, it's a comedy panel show hosted by a comdian called Jimmy Carr with team captains Jon Richardson (who is so cute!) and Sean Lock. They discuss current things going on in the world and do this using comedy.
It was so funny, I was laughing throughout the whole thing! I've always been a fan of the show so going to see it live was great.

I didn't really get any shots of what I was wearing but I wore my sheer blouse that featured in my previous HAUL post, which I wore with a pair of black jeans and my studded slippers.

For those who are interested they're gonna show it tonight on Channel 4 at 9:00pm (UK)!
